The project aimed to capture a surreal theme that merges two vast and mysterious realms—space and the sea. The challenge was to visually convey this abstract concept in a way that feels immersive and cinematic. Traditional poster design approaches often fall short in representing such ethereal ideas without losing clarity or impact.
Solution :
A conceptual poster was developed using photorealistic imagery of an astronaut submerged underwater, enhanced with dramatic lighting and textured bubbles. Typography was styled to echo the aquatic theme, integrating subtle ocean-inspired details. The composition drew viewers into the paradoxical world between space and sea, embodying both wonder and mystery.
Challenge :
The main challenge was balancing surrealism with realism—ensuring the astronaut and underwater environment felt believable while still dreamlike. Achieving the right tonal contrast between deep blues, rays of light, and text effects required careful visual experimentation. Another challenge was maintaining harmony between the text and imagery without distracting from the overall narrative.
